You didn’t think Anyone was taking notice 
And so you slept

But I was watching

And while you slumbered,

I wrapped you in threads

Made of love

Not to choke you

But to help you

See inward and realize

Your worth. 

And you emerged

Strong and beautiful 

And confident.

And you spread your

Wings and flew

Leaving me with

An empty cocoon of

Love.
